About This AttractionSuggest an Edit

Geevor Tin Mine is a museum and heritage centre offering a living history of a working tin mine. Explore the story of the people and the landscape in The Underground Tour which takes you to the early days of mining. It gives a vivid image of Victorian miners, men & boys working long hours in the dark and cramped conditions. You can have a go at Panning, the ancient method of prospecting for valuable heavy metals. You can even keep what you find! Other activities include looking down Victory Shaft and experiencing the miner's dry, left almost untouched as it was on the day the last miner left and you can visit the Hard Rock Museum, telling the story of mining in Geevor.
