About This AttractionSuggest an Edit

This magnificent castle was the crowning place of 42 Kings and princes including including Macbeth and Robert The Bruce, who were crowned or enthroned on the Stone of Scone. The house is still a family home of the Earls of Mansfield but you can wonder down the corridors and find the Long Galley where King Charles II strode to his coronation in 1651 and many other rooms and the helpful staff will tell you all about the fascinating history. There is plenty for the children to see and do from the adventure playground to the Murray Star Maze. Look out for the animals including June the Donkey, Miniature Shetland Ponies and Highland Cattle. There is also the Heather the Highland Cow Activity Book which can be picked up from the gift shop.
