About This AttractionSuggest an Edit

Petworth House is a wonderful 17th century mansion, set in a 700 acre deer park landscaped by 'Capability' Brown. There is a stunning art collection on display in the house, with works by Van Dyck, Titian, Blake and Turner. There are also gorgeous sculptures, ceramics and fine furniture. Head to the Servants’ Quarters to get a feel of what life was like ‘below stairs’. There is plenty to entertain kids and families too with seasonal children’s trails during Easter and school holidays. You can purchase a trail from Visitor Reception on arrival that takes you on an exploration across the Pleasure Garden with fun tasks to complete. There is also a varying events programme with outdoor cinema to Christmas carols to attend. Please check the website for up-to-date information on events, children's trails and whether pre-booking is required.
