This zoo is the perfect place for the animal lovers in the family. You'll meet some a variety of species, including pygmy goats, emus, wallabies, marmosets, donkeys and meerkats! You'll get the opportunity to meet the keepers and ask all about the animals' lives, habitats and how they are looked after. As well as the animals, kids will enjoy the garden walks, forest trails and play areas!

How To Get There

Directions

From Newcastle head north along the A167 until you reach the junction with the A969 join this road heading towards Ponteland. Once in Ponteland turn right on to North Road towards Kirkley, the attraction is at the end of this road.

Tips

Amazing day out for all the family. Great for wheelchair users too.

Take a picnic, fab day if you get the weather :-)

Take a packed lunch the food is expensive, overall a great day out. Take my advice, although the river trail looks flat at the beginning I wouldn't advise taken a pram along, great selection of animals.
