This beautiful beach is famous for having 'whistling sand', the sand whistles underneath as you walk! The sound is created due to the shear stress of weight that is put upon the sand, there are only two beaches in the whole of Europe where you can experience this for yourselves. The small National Trust beach is backed by steep grassy cliffs and is part of the heritage coast. A little bit of a walk from the car park (180m) but still very popular for families. During the summer months the beach has toilets and a shop.
