This family friendly museum is a great place to bring the brood to learn about the heritage of the former Somerset Coalfield which stretched from Bishop Sutton in the West to Dunkerton in the East and from Pensford in the North to Coleford and Nettlebridge in the South. You will find out about the miner's hard, dangerous working conditions. You will see a Co Op as it was 70 years ago and also visit a strict Victorian Board School. For the children will there are hands on activities and interactive displays and the friendly staff are always there to answer any questions.
