If you're in the local area then pop into this building to learn the fascinating story. The Tudor house was founded by the Elizabethan MP Richard Watts, he left money for there to be board for six poor travellers all the way up to the Second World War. The house and charity are immortalised in Dickens' Christmas short story entitled The Seven Poor Travellers.
