If you fancy taking the family for a walk why not bring them to this part of Wiltshire to this National trust landmark. An early example of a folly set on a chalk ridge, it may have served as a viewpoint for ladies following the hunt, a haunt for highwaymen and a lookout post for the home guard. The family can enjoy enjoy great walks around the area spotting wildlife and plants including orchids and juniper and there are many great picnic spots.
