Sidmouth Museum is a wonderful place to visit and learn all about stories of the World Heritage Jurassic Coast, local history and archaeology. There are displays based on the railways in Sidmouth too, from Victorian times to the present day. The museum is a very family-friendly place and they cater for all ages. Young visitors are given their own area for learning about the Jurassic Coast, as well as quizzes, games and lots of hands-on activities for them to try out. They offer Special young People Activity Day, which caters for 5-10 with a different theme each day. Contact the museum for more information about this.
