Tips

This is our second visit and it was just as amazing as the last time and the sun was out today.

Brilliant brilliant brilliant! One of our favorite local attractions.

Fantastic place to take the children, they get very close to the animals. Not so good if it's a rainy day, as they don't have that many indoor facilities (although I think they have improved this over the last 12 months)

Fab day out my boys loved it (5,2,1yrs) am def going back next year x

Lots of fun in any weather as has lots to do indoors as well as out. Great experience for the kids to feed the animals and available to do twice a day if you missed it the first time.

Took our 2 year old, chicken-obsessed son to Longdown to see the animals. Did not disappoint on the poultry front with lots of standard utility breeds with a couple of rarer breeds also making a showing. Great sections for showing the poultry lifecycle; from egg, to chick to laying hen. Lots of other non-winged animals too, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, cows etc. There is a nice grassy area to take a break. The whole site is fairly small, so is quite quick to get around. Queues for the activities can get very long, but move quickly.
