About This AttractionSuggest an Edit
The Barbara Hepworth museum and sculpture gallery is a unique and fascinating experience which displays the work of one of the most important artists of the 20th century. Barbara moved to Cornwall in 1939, where she stayed until her death in 1975. Her wish was to have her home and studio, Trewyn Studio, turned into a museum, which is where the artist's work now remains and has been placed in the care of the Tate Gallery. Her work consists of stone & wood carving and also bronze sculptures. Bronze sculptures are displayed in the beautiful garden, which was laid out by Barbara herself, with the help of a friend.
