About This AttractionSuggest an Edit
The Ancient High House is a fascinating place to visit and as one of the finest Tudor buildings in the country, it is a picturesque day out for all. King Charles I once stayed there en route to Shrewsbury and there remains an impressive collection of period furniture and architecture. The museum, which opened in 1986, offers displays showing the lives of the people of Stafford over the years.

We visited for the Christmas event - great for the children and adults alike. Vintage crafts and even Santa to occupy the children while looking at what Christmas would have been like through the different areas. Fruit punch and mince pies were lovely and free! Great morning out for us all.
