This is a great country park to bring the family; the old estate grounds have woodlands, Scrub, wildflower meadows and ponds which provides plenty of opportunity for wildlife to flourish and also there is acres of space for the family to run around. The park is a great place to bring a picnic and to just enjoy being outdoors. The park has the ruins of Plean house, a sweeping 18th century mansion, it lays in ruins after most of it was destroyed by fire in the 1970's. If you fancy a walk there are a number of trails of different lengths that you can follow and an orienteering course
