About This AttractionSuggest an Edit

The vast remains of this palatial 19th century mansion offer a great day out for the family. The house was destroyed by fire in 1937 and the estate went into disrepair, now the remains are surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens that contain huge stone fountains, which are great for exploring. There are woodland Walks in the North Park that the family can follow to see numerous types of trees, shrubs and wildlife. There is a fantastic Wilderness Play Area for all ages to enjoy which includes a treehouse, adventure trail and more. The area is designed for wildlife and flowers to flourish and there is a grass-covered amphitheatre, which is great for family picnics.

Tips

It's good but not really ideal for small children who can get bored easily. The play area is small and lacking but the grounds are nice and well kept. A small shop where you can buy refreshments and souvenirs.
