About This AttractionSuggest an Edit

This museum is a fine industrial monument and a great place to learn about steam engines. The building itself was built in 1868 to supply water to the Sunderland area. The station no longer pumps water but both the engines are in full working order, which are run on the 'Steaming Days'. For the children there's a free heritage trail for them to complete.
