Families can step back in time and enjoy a fun day out at this historic river port in the heart of Devon that was developed to support the local mines in years gone by. Hop on board the copper mine train on a journey underground and find out just what life was like for the miners 200 years ago. There are plenty of hands on educational activities to join in with making this a fun and educational visit for all ages. Kids can dress up like the Victorians, make tasty things from chocolate, which was a popular treat in the Victorian era as well as experiencing life as a child find out how they were taught and punished! Finish the day with a visit to the playground where kids can let off steam after such an exciting day out.
