This fort has had a very important role over the years as it protected the approach by sea to London. Dating all the way back until the reign of Henry VIII who originally built the first fort on the site until the Second World War. The family can have a great day learning all about the forts history, exploring the different parts of the fort and imaging what it must have been like for the soldiers who once lived there.
