Once the home of the Earls of Mount Edgcumbe, this stunning home and surrounding gardens are a lovely place to bring the family for a day out. You can picnic on the gorgeous gardens and marvel at the gorgeous colour flowers. The house, restored to its 18th century style, features paintings by Sir Joshua Reynolds, Gerard Edema and William Van Der Velde. The house is also home to Irish bronze-age horns, 16th century tapestries and 18th century Chinese and Plymouth porcelain.

The House and Earl’s Garden are open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday each week between April and the end of September from 11 am to 4.30 pm

From Plymouth via Cremyll Foot Ferry, Torpoint ferry or Saltash Bridge. Via Liskeard to A374, B3247 follow brown heritage signs.
