About This AttractionSuggest an Edit
Head to Tynemouth Aquarium – the new name for Blue Reef Tynemouth for a chance to see some amazing creatures from the aquatic world- Perfect for kids and adults alike, you'll see some fascinating animals, including stingrays, seals, shark, lionfish, pufferfish, lobsters, otters and even beautiful seahorses. There are daily talks and feeds by the staff where you can learn all about the aquatic creatures. What’s new? There is much more than a new name – they have completely renovated the outside of the building, modernising how it looks and ensuring the building is ready for plenty more British winters! All of their exhibits have had their lighting upgraded to make them look even better and to give our fish a more natural day and night effect. and they have also added some great interactive elements to make your visit even more engaging. Be sure to check out their brand new exhibit – River Giants!

If you plan on going more than once it's worth buying the annual pass otherwise it's quite expensive for one entry.
My son is 7 months old and I've taken him loads (we live locally). Great for babies as they like the tanks with lights and bubble as well as the fish of course.
