About This AttractionSuggest an Edit

There have been gardens on this site since the 1700s and today what is here is a combination of centuries of different approaches to landscape design. Explore the many parts including the Palm Walk or the Pulham Falls. There are many plants from around the world for you too look at and there are four main lakes in the centre with many paths leading around the glades and wooded areas. The flood meadow and River Ouse are a wildlife heaven, in the summer spot butterflies, dragonflies and birds. The children will love the woodland play trail which is set in an enclosed woodland copse called Ringwood Toll, you can build a den, climb trees or sit on one of the story-telling chairs and let your imagination run wild. There are family events throughout the year so make sure that you check out the website for the latest.

Directions

The garden is located midway between East Grinstead and Lewes, 5 miles north-west of Uckfield, on the east side of A275 (between A272 and A22). If approaching north-bound from Lewes, the garden is just past the Bluebell Railway, over the River Ouse bridge on the right. Coming south-bound from the A22 Wych Cross, follow the brown signs for Sheffield Park and the Bluebell Railway.
