About This AttractionSuggest an Edit

The beautiful grounds and Owl and Falconry Centre of Appuldurcombe House offer plenty to entertain the family. The house was once one of the grandest and most striking houses on the Isle of Wight, now just part of the shell has been restored. An exhibition of photographs and prints depict the house and its history. Let the children explore the 11 acres of 'Capability' Brown's idyllic ornamental grounds. The grounds are perfect for a picnic and to hunt out the local wildlife. The Owls and Falconry Centre offers a variety of birds of prey from around the world. With flying displays and demonstrations. There is also an indoor flight barn for the wet days too. For the little ones there is Little Owls soft play area, which also has some friendly animals including goats, chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs.
