"The Royal Gunpowder Mills is once again open to the public. Every Sunday and Bank Holiday until September they will be hosting open days. Visitors are invited to bring their families and picnics and enjoy the cultural and historical site of the Mills, they have light refreshments and plenty of opportunities to spot nature. Their popular Land Train has also returned, offering visitors a chance to be taken around the whole site on a tour. There is a play area for children and photography challenges for adults. July will also see the return of some popular exhibitions including the Armoury and the Rocket Vault

By Road From the M25: Leave jct 26 and follow signs for A121 to Waltham Abbey. At traffic lights McDonalds is on the left and entrance to attraction is opposite on Beaulieu Drive
