This centre is a great place to bring the family no matter the weather or time of year. There's plenty of nature to see and there's some stunning views to enjoy. You can explore the mix of wetland, woodland, nature reserve and meadows where you can spot a variety of wildfowl. The area is home to a number of species including flocks of waders, Chilean flamingos, Asian short-clawed otters, Eurasian cranes and more. For the children there's a play area and there's always lots going on including talks, feeding sessions and walks.

In the Waterside Cafe you will find a range of meals and refreshments. There are some picnic areas.

How To Get There

Directions

From the A1, exit at junction 65 and follow signs for the A1231 to Sunderland, then follow the brown duck signs. The brown duck signs can be followed from the A195, A19, A182 and A1231.
