About This AttractionSuggest an Edit
Perched on a rock and dominating the landscape is this dramatic castle. Originally built by Welsh Princes and was then the ancestral home of the Herberts and Clives. Stuffed full with amazing antiques and paintings there is plenty to see. The children will love the Children's Trail that leads them around the castle finding the different clues. The gorgeous gardens are world famous and are full of stunning plants, with lead statues and an orangery on the terraces. Take the Powis Ranger Trails around the grounds; they're free and available from the garden kiosk. The family can enjoy wilderness walks following routes through the woods and looking out for the different wildlife boxes.
