About This AttractionSuggest an Edit

This picturesque lighthouse can only be reached by a short causeway at certain tide times. The lighthouse is built on this mini island to help guide ships around the perilous rocks. Nowadays the lighthouse is a visitor centre where you can learn all about the life of a lighthouse keeper and climb the 137 steps to the top to enjoy the spectacular views of the North East Coast. The surrounding area is a nature reserve with rockpools, grassland, beach and wetlands habitat where you can spot wildlife. The kids will love exploring the rockpools.
