Lavishly furnished 17th Century county house and estate, which is owned by the National Trust. Inside you fill find a superb art collection, with works from the likes of Titian and Rubens, as well as many period rooms, while outside there is a restored Japanese tea garden from the Edwardian period, parkland walks, North Devon cattle and of course the Iron Age hillfort of Badbury Rings, where you can find 14 varieties of orchid. Weekly cycle rides are run in partnership with Moors Valley Country Park, which are free and great fun. The breath-taking 7 acre Japanese Garden will leave you awe-struck and there is plenty of wildlife to see.
