A fascinating Anglo - Saxon royal burial site, with 225 acres and beautiful views. Explore the site and walk around the ancient burial mounds; discover the story of the ship burial of an Anglo-Saxon king and his treasured possessions. In the Exhibition Hall you get the chance to see replicas of the finds that have been made on site. There is the King's Sceptre great round shield and iconic helmet. If you have budding archeologists then bring them here where they can enjoy the fun task of digging up some history.
